MiniVerso – Training for families, 6 May at 6 PM

Carers do not feel they receive enough information about the bullying prevention methods used in early childhood education and schools. There is also a need for effective ways to deal with everyday conflicts respectfully at home. To celebrate our anniversary, we are offering families the opportunity to train together in MiniVerso with a remote training session for children. To participate, you will only need a device that enables a Microsoft Teams remote connection (phone, tablet or computer) and a Teams link.

The training event will take place on Teams and is open to families from all early childhood communities trained in the MiniVerso activity. We are organising the event for the first time.

  • Free
  • Around 900 people will be able to join via the link, on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • You are collecting your child from the early childhood education unit.
  • The training event will be conducted using puppetry.
  • Trainers will arrive on the lines approximately half an hour before the training begins. During this time, please test that the technology is working.
  • To join on a mobile device, you will need to download the Teams app from your app store.
  • Pin the presenter's box to your screen.
    • The button required for pinning is located next to the presenter's name (bottom left); by clicking on the three dots, you will find the ”pin” icon which says "pin".
  • Please keep your microphone and video cameras off during the event.
  • Type in the chat box how many participants are at your machine. E.g. 1 carer, 1 child.

The session is not being recorded.

If this event proves to be very popular, we will organise a similar one in the autumn.

Kind regards,

The MiniVerson team
