VERSO participates in the Rule of Law Clinic on Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution

Our Programme Manager Janne Johansson and our trainer Nelli Marjakanka had the honour to represent VERSO today at the Rule of Law Clinic on the topic of mediation and alternative dispute resolution. 🇺🇦🇫🇮 The theme had been requested by the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice.

The Rule of Law Clinic is part of the joint project Achieving Compliance and Cooperation for EU Justice Standards in Ukraine (ACCESS -Ukraine) by the Rule of Law Centre and Democracy Reporting International. Read more here: https://www.helsinki.fi/…/oikeusvaltio…/hankkeet-ja-klinikat

Janne and Nelli presented the practices and results of mediation work in education in Finland and we learned a lot of new things, especially about the mediation work of Ukrainian actors and even a mediation game to promote skills (https://en.mediation.ua/consent/charivnyisvit)! 👾👩‍🚀🪐 Special thanks to Hamina, where we received video greetings from Verso students to share with the Ukrainians! 🫶

Important restorative and stabilising work is being done all the time and the Rule of Law Clinic was a great demonstration of how mediation can support that!
