Welcome to Mediator Days 2025 in Tampere!
The days will explore challenging, silent and visible phenomena in society and the role of mediation and other restorative practices in helping individuals and communities deal with tensions, conflicts and crimes. The two-day event will include keynote speeches, interactive panel discussions, a wide range of workshops and opportunities for discussion and networking.
The theme of Mediation Days 2025 will involve not only the field of mediation but also other actors in society whose activities and decision-making are related to aspects of social peace (e.g. social and health sector, public authorities, representatives of NGOs). The mediation days will bring a fresh perspective, especially for public actors whose work is related to the well-being of families and young people. In addition, polarisation, changes in working life and the current needs of community mediation will be important themes.
In the workshops, experts will present their work, results and experiences on issues such as dealing with hate crime, violence among young people in schools and on the streets, well-being and good practice in work communities, the role of mediation in community trauma, digital dialogue in work communities, aftercare for serious crime and restorative services in relationships.
