Our supporting association, The Finnish Mediation Forum, is organising free online meetings for mediators from different fields and those interested in mediation.
In the March Living Room Wednesday 4.3. at 16:00–17:30 Let's discuss what voluntariness and self-determination mean in practice in different areas of mediation.
Voluntariness is one of the fundamental principles of mediation, but what does it encompass? And what does it mean in practice in different mediation contexts? What challenges can adherence to voluntariness and self-determination pose to mediations? In the introductory speeches, we will hear perspectives on the topic from, among others, criminal and civil mediation (Teppo Mattsson, voluntary mediator for criminal and civil matters) and the context of workplace mediation (Harri Väisänen, workplace mediator). The introductions may still be supplemented.
Following the introductions, we will move on to small group discussions and finally to a joint discussion. The event will be facilitated, as usual, by members of the board of the Finnish Mediation Forum. No separate registration is required. Welcome to hear the presentations and to discuss together with other mediators!
